EPS Motor/Control Unit Removal and Installation: Installation

Detailed information, notes and precautions
Torque: N.m (kgf.m, lbf.ft)
Replace
  1. EPS Motor/Control Unit - Install

    1. Apply steering grease to the EPS motor/control unit housing (A).

    2. If the rubber spring (B) removed, install it to the steering gearbox (C).

    3. Install the new O-ring (D) to the EPS motor/control unit.

    4. Install the EPS motor/control unit.

  2. Connector (EPS Motor) - Connect

  3. Lower Stabilizer Link Ball Joint - Connect (Both Sides)
  4. Engine Undercover - Install
  5. 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Connect
  6. EPS Control Unit Software - Check
    1. Make sure the EPS control unit has the latest software. If it does not have the latest, update the software in the EPS control unit .
  7. EPS Control Unit After Install - Check
    1. After installation, check these items:
