Harsh engine vibration felt in the passenger's compartment

Start the engine, and let it idle 20 seconds.
Check for PGM-FI system's DTC with the HDS.
Are any Pending or Confirmed DTCs indicated?

YES -Go to the INDICATED DTC'S TROUBLESHOOTING .

NO -Go to step 3.
Select the ACM in the PGM-FI system, and check for ACM system's DTCs with the HDS.
Are any Pending or Confirmed DTCs indicated?

YES -Go to the INDICATED DTC'S TROUBLESHOOTING .

NO -Go to step 4.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
Open the engine hood.
Start the engine.
Select the ACM TEST in the ACM INSPECTION menu with the HDS.
Do the Fr. ACM SOL.V. ACTIVATION OFF with the HDS.
Does the engine vibration change when you turn the Fr. ACM SOL.V. ACTIVATION OFF?

YES -Exit the Fr. ACM SOL.V. ACTIVATION OFF, then go to step 12.

NO -Go to step 9.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), then back to ON (II).
Exit the ACM TEST, and select the Fr. ACM SOL.V. ACTIVATION ON/OFF in the ACM INSPECTION menu with the HDS.
Check the front engine mount with your hand.
Does the mount vibrate?

YES -Check the mount for damage. If needed, replace the front engine mount (see FRONT ENGINE MOUNT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ). If the mount is OK, go to step 1 and recheck.

NO -Replace the front engine mount (see FRONT ENGINE MOUNT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
Do the Rr. ACM SOL.V. ACTIVATION OFF with the HDS.
Does the engine vibration change when you turn the Rr. ACM SOL.V. ACTIVATION OFF?

YES -The ACM system is OK at this time. Check the other engine mounts and any other engine problems that can cause vibration.

NO -Go to step 13.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), then back to ON (II).
Exit the ACM TEST, and select the Rr. ACM SOL.V. ACTIVATION ON/OFF in the ACM INSPECTION menu with the HDS.
Check the rear engine mount with your hand.
Does the mount vibrate?

YES -Check the mount for damage. If needed, replace the rear engine mount (see INSTALLATION ). If the mount is OK, go to step 1 and recheck.

NO -Replace the rear engine mount (see INSTALLATION ).
