CKP Pulse Plate Replacement

  1. Remove the crankshaft (see CRANKSHAFT AND PISTON REMOVAL  ) from the engine block.
  2. Remove the crankshaft position (CKP) pulse plate (A).
    NOTE: Be careful not to damage the journals and the CKP pulse plate.

  3. Install the CKP pulse plate in the reverse order of removal.
    NOTE: When installing the crankshaft, refer to the crankshaft and piston installation procedure (see Crankshaft and Piston Installation  ).
