Power Door Locks/Keyless

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2015 Honda Crosstour, 2014 Honda Crosstour, 2013 Honda Crosstour, 2012 Honda Crosstour, and 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour.   1. Check for B-CAN DTCs. If any B-CAN DTCs are indicated, troubleshoot and resolve them first.
  2. If the door lock system and the keyless operation do not work, troubleshoot the door locks first.
    NOTE: The system does not function when the ignition switch is ON (II).
    SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING INDEX

    Symptom Check Items Also check for
    The security system sounds randomly while the doors are locked. Tripped sensor history (see TRIPPED SENSOR HISTORY  ) -
    All the doors will not lock or unlock with the driver's door key cylinder, or door lock switch, or keyless transmitter.(1)
    • Poor ground (G203, G302, G401, G402, G405, G601, G701)
    • Blown No. B5 (7.5 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box
    • Blown No. B16 (7.5 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box
    • Driver's door key cylinder switch test (see DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH TEST  ).
    • Driver's MICU input test (see CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST  ).
    • Door switch test (check the door switch ON/OFF information with the HDS)
    • Passenger's MICU input test (see CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST  ).
    • Door lock switch test (check the door switch ON/OFF information with HDS)
    • Check for UART line between door multiplex control unit 37P connector terminal No. 36 and front passenger's power window switch 37P connector terminal No. 34:
      • An open in the wire.
      • A short to ground in the wire.
      • A short to power in the wire.
    		 -
    Driver's and left rear doors will not lock or unlock with the driver's door key cylinder, or door lock switch, or keyless transmitter.
    • Poor ground (G302, G401, G402, G601)
    • Blown No. B24 (20 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box
    • Blown No. B25 (10 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box
    • Driver's MICU input test (see MICU INPUT TEST ).
    • Door multiplex control unit input test (see CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST  ).
    		 -
    Front passenger's and right rear doors will not lock or unlock with the driver's door key cylinder, or door lock switch, or keyless transmitter.
    • Poor ground (G203, G401, G402, G405, G701)
    • Blown No. A1-2 (AS F/B STD) (40 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box
    • Blown No. C10 (10 A) fuse in the passenger's under-dash fuse/relay box
    • Blown No. C13 (20 A) fuse in the passenger's under-dash fuse/relay box
    • Blown No.A15 (10A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box.
    • Passenger's MICU input test (see MICU INPUT TEST ).
    • Door multiplex control unit input test (see CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST  ).
    		 -
    Keyless operation does not work (LOCK, UNLOCK, PANIC). Symptom troubleshooting (see KEYLESS OPERATION DOES NOT WORK (LOCK, UNLOCK, PANIC)  ). -
    Doors will not unlock (or lock) with the transmitter, but will unlock (or lock) with the door lock switch and the door key cylinder switch.  
    Doors automatically relock 30 seconds after being unlocked with the transmitter even though a door has been opened. Symptom troubleshooting (see DOORS AUTOMATICALLY RELOCK 30 SECONDS AFTER BEING UNLOCKED WITH THE TRANSMITTER EVEN THOUGH A DOOR HAS BEEN OPENED  ). -
    Only driver's door will unlock or door locks relock immediately after unlocking with the remote. Driver's door lock knob switch test (see DOOR LOCK KNOB SWITCH TEST  ). -
    The horn does not sound and/or the headlights do not flash when the PANIC button on the transmitter pressed. Symptom troubleshooting (see THE HORN DOES NOT SOUND AND/OR THE HEADLIGHTS DO NOT FLASH WHEN THE PANIC BUTTON ON THE TRANSMITTER IS PRESSED  ). -
    Keyless operation will work even though the ignition key is in the ignition switch. Ignition key switch test (see IGNITION KEY SWITCH TEST ). -
    Only driver's door will unlock or door locks relock immediately after unlocking with the remote. Driver's door lock knob switch test (see FRONT DOOR LATCH REPLACEMENT )
    The horn does not sound and/or the headlights do not flash when the PANIC button on the transmitter pressed Symptom troubleshooting (see Symptom Troubleshooting  ) Customize settings in the odo/trip display; see Owner's Manual for details
    Keyless operation will work even though the ignition key is in the ignition switch ignition key switch test (see IGNITION KEY SWITCH TEST )
    Security alarm system will not arm symptom troubleshooting (see Keyless Operation Does Not Work (LOCK, UNLOCK, PANIC)  )
    (1) If only one door is not working properly, check that door's lock actuator first, then check the other items listed in this table.
