Decelerating In Forward Gears (2WD Mode)

NOTE: The Accord Cross tour has no rear jacking bracket. Do not use the rear differential assembly, the rear subframe, or rear suspension components as jacking points. Use the following procedure to avoid damaging the vehicle.
  1. Place the block on the right front wheel.
  2. Position the floor jack under the vehicle's front support point (A). Center the jack lift platform (B) on the support point, and jack up the vehicle high enough to fit a safety stand (C) under the vehicle's rear support point (D).

  3. Carefully lower the jack until the rear support point contacts the safety stand, then remove the jack.
  4. Block the left front wheel.
  5. Hold the left rear tire, and turn it counterclockwise continuously for more than one rotation.
    • If the rotation of the wheel does not gradually feel heavy while rotating, the 2WD system when decelerating in a forward gear is normal.
    • If the rotation of the wheel gradually feels heavy while rotating, there is a problem in the system. Check the differential fluid. If the fluid is normal, replace the torque control differential (TCD) case kit.
