Back-Up Light Switch Test

  1. Disconnect the back-up light switch connector. See Fig 1 .
  2. Check for continuity between No.1 and 2 terminals of the back-up light switch. There should be continuity when the shift lever is in reverse.
  3. If necessary, replace the back-up light switch. Apply liquid gasket (08718-0001) to the switch threads, and install the switch on the transmission housing.
