Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2000 Isuzu VehiCROSS, 2000 Isuzu Trooper, 2000 Isuzu Rodeo, 2000 Isuzu Hombre, and 2000 Isuzu Amigo. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Oxygen sensors (4) are mounted in exhaust pipe before and after catalytic converters. Sensor is equipped with a permanent pigtail, which must be protected from damage when sensor is removed.
  2. Ensure sensor is free of contaminants. Avoid using cleaning solvents of any type. Sensor may be difficult to remove if engine temperature is less than 120°F (48°C). If re-using sensor, always use anti-seize compound on threads before installation. Tighten sensor to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
