Diagnosis & Repair

  1. Connect scan tool to DLC. Turn ignition on. Select CLEAR INFORMATION function. Operate vehicle within FREEZE FRAME conditions. If DTC P1530 resets, go to next step. If DTC P1530 does not reset, check for an intermittent problem. See TESTS W/O CODES article.
  2. Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage between Purple/Green wire of duty check DLC and ground. If battery voltage is present, check for an intermittent problem. See TESTS W/O CODES article. If battery voltage is not present, go to next step.
  3. Check Purple/Green wire for short to ground. Repair as necessary. If wire is okay, replace PCM. Retest system.
