If new compressor is shipped with refrigerant oil, drain and measure oil from old compressor. Remove refrigerant oil from new compressor equal to difference between amount drained from old compressor and amount shipped in new compressor. If new compressor is shipped without refrigerant oil, add same amount of oil that was drained from old compressor. If any other major components are replaced, add refrigerant oil as specified.
