Temperature Control Lever/Knob

When the temperature control lever/knob is moved to full hot position, the air mix door opens fully, allowing all airflow through heater core to selected outlets. See Figure . In full cold position, the air mix door closes off airflow through the heater core. Adjusting the air temperature control lever allows more or less air to by-pass heater core.
