Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Loosen alternator mounting bolts and adjuster bolt. Remove alternator belt. Disconnect alternator harness connectors. Remove alternator mounting bolts and adjuster bolt. Remove alternator.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Adjust alternator belt. See BELT TENSION  under ADJUSTMENTS in this article. Tighten alternator mounting bolts and adjuster bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  in this article.
