Repair Procedures: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE COVER ")
  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to AIR CLEANER .) If needed.

  4. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector (A).

    (Refer to COMPONENTS AND COMPONENTS LOCATION )

  5. Remove the water temperature sensor (B) from the water temperature control assembly.
    CAUTION:
    • Note that engine coolant may leak out of the water temperature control assembly when removing the sensor.
