DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

  • Signal plausibility check
  1. Poor connection
  2. Short in harness

Case 1 Prerequisite Condition
  • Knock control is functioning:
    • Engine coolant temperature (ECT) is higher than 65°C
    • Mass air flow is greater than 0.8 g/rev.
    • Ignition switch is turned ON.
    • Engine operation is out of start state.
  • Engine speed is faster than 2656 RPM.
Threshold Value
  • Knock noise signal is lower than 0.1367V
  • Magnitude of deflection of the knock signal is below a certain threshold.
Case 2 Prerequisite Condition
  • Knock control is functioning:
    • Engine coolant temperature (ECT) is higher than 65°C.
    • Mass air flow is greater than 0.8 g/rev.
    • Ignition switch is turned ON.
    • Engine operation is out of start state.
Threshold Value
  • Absolute value of difference between knock noise signal and its sliding average is smaller than 0.0586V.
Diagnosis Time
  • 200 rev.

  • 3rd Drive Cycle
