Electric Waste Gate Actuator (EWGA-B2)

The turbocharger engine generates a much higher horsepower by over-compressing intake air with a turbine powered by exhaust gases. Recently, techniques like electronically-operated fuel control and intake pressure control has been adapted to the process and the enhanced system optimizes the air/fuel ratio by precisely calculating the amount of air emitted by the turbocharger.

If the boost pressure from the intake manifold reaches the target pressure value, the engine Electronic Control Unit (ECU) allows exhaust gases to bypass using an Electric Waste Gate Actuator (EWGA).

The EWGA consists of a motor, an actuating bypass valve, and a position sensor that detects the state of the bypass valve.
