Monitor GDS Data

  1. Plug GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  3. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)," and click "DTC Status" to check DTC information.
  4. Read the "DTC State" parameter.
  5. Is the DTC State "Present"?

    PRESENT 

    • TCM's ROM or DATA is changed by reprogram illegally.
    • Substitute with a known-good E-Shifer and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace E-Shifer and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

    HISTORY 

    • TCM unit memory was not cleared after repair. Clear the DTC and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair".
