DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Misfire rate calculation
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Incorrect Valve Timing
  3. Uneven Compression
  4. Air Leakage
  5. Improper Fuel Pressure or Dirty Fuel
  6. Blocked/Leaking Injectors
  7. Leakage between cooling system and system
  8. Faulty ignition system
  9. Faulty MPI injector
Enable Condition
  • Engine speed is between 600 and 6700 RPM
  • Engine load is between 6.7 and 22.8% (depending on engine speed)
  • Atmospheric pressure higher than 75 kPa
  • Engine load variation less than 0 - 48%/s (depending on engine load)
  • Throttle track change less than 2 - 80% (depending on throttle track)
  • Engine coolant temperature above -7°C (19.4°F), If the coolant temperature at engine start is below -7°C (19.4° F), over 20°C (68°F)
  • Not in a fuel shut-off state
  • Without crankshaft vibration
    • Engine roughness judgment: vibration/amplitude is more than 5000 - 47500μs (depending on engine speed and load)
  • Not a rough road
    • Rough road determination: Wheel acceleration is less than 13 - 16± (depending on vehicle speed)
Threshold Value Case 1
  • Misfire rate more than 11 - 50% within 200 revolution (depending on engine speed and load)
Case 2
  • Misfire rate more than 1.4% (within 1000 revolution)
Diagnostic Time Case 1
  • 200 revolutions or 3 * 200 revolutions
Case 2
  • 1000 revolutions or 4 * 1000 revolutions
MIL ON Condition Case 1
  • 1 driving cycle
Case 2
  • 2 driving cycles
