DTC Setting Condition

Troubleshooting Condition Possible Cause
Prerequisite Condition
  • Turn the ignition switch ON
  1. Faulty SMK*
Threshold Value Data error
  • Communication Head error
  • Checksum error
  • Faulty SMK*
Timing Error
  • The interval of responses from the SMK* upon the ECM*'s request is above 40 ms
Diagnostic Time
  • The defect persists longer than 1.5 sec
NOTE: SMK*: "IBU"
ECM*: "ECM'VPCM"
