Monitoring DTC Status
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2022 Genesis G90. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Connect the scantool and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)".
- Click the "DTC Status" to check the DTC information.
- Read the "DTC Status" parameter, and Record all DTCs, DTC state and freeze frame data.
- Is the same DTC set again?
YES
- Verify whether the vehicle is equipped with ABS*, and conduct "Vehicle S/W Management" → "CLU Variant Coding" in line with the vehicle information.
→ Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- This can be CLU* memory was not cleared after repair.
→ Erase the DTCs, and Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
- This can be an intermittent fault caused by Poor Contact in ABS*'s and/or CLU*'s connector.
→ Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
→ Repair or replace the harness/connector as necessary and then Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NOTE: CLU*: "INSTRUMENT CLUSTER"
ABS*: "ESC CONTROL MODULE" - Verify whether the vehicle is equipped with ABS*, and conduct "Vehicle S/W Management" → "CLU Variant Coding" in line with the vehicle information.
