Repair Procedures: Removal

- Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.
- Remove the front wheel and tire (A) from the front hub.
Tightening torque:
107.9 - 127.5 N.m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf.m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb-ft)
NOTE:- Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the front wheel and tire.
- Remove the brake hose mounting bracket from the knuckle.
Tightening torque:
6.9 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 - 8.0 lb-ft)
- Remove locking pin (A).
- Remove guide pin (A) from the housing.
- Loosen the hose eye-bolt (A) then remove the brake hose.
Tightening torque:
24.5 - 29.4 N.m (2.5 - 3.0 kgf.m, 18.1 - 21.7 lb-ft)
- Loosen the caliper mounting bolts, and then remove the front caliper assembly (A).
Tightening torque:
78.5 - 98.1 N.m (8.0 - 10.0 kgf.m, 57.9 - 72.3 lb-ft)
- Remove spring pad (B) and brake pads (A) from the caliper.NOTE:
- Matching the direction of the arrow on the pad and the vehicle forward direction.
- Apply the grease evenly on the sliding part as shown in the figure below.
Grease: NEVER - SEEZ - REGULAR GRADE (ITW)
- Do not spill the grease on the break disc, it may damage the brake performance.
- Be careful not to leak the grease at the outside of housing.

- Matching the direction of the arrow on the pad and the vehicle forward direction.
- Remove the brake disc by loosening the screw.
Tightening torque:
4.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.5 - 0.6 kgf.m, 3.6 - 4.3 lb-ft)
