- Handling of oil
- The oil should be free from moisture, dust, metal powder, etc.
- Do not mix with other oil.
- The water content in the oil increases when exposed to air. After use, seal oil from air immediately. (R-134a or R-1234yf Compressor Oil absorbs moisture very easily.)
- The compressor oil must be stored in steel containers, not in plastic containers.
- When checking the amount of oil in the system, set the blower motor control knob at its highest position, run the compressor for more than 20 minutes.
- Check and adjust the compressor oil level before oil is inserted into the compressor in use, the compressor oil must be checked in the following sequence.
- After oil restoration operation, stop engine, drain the refrigerant and remove the compressor.
- Drain the oil from the system line.NOTE:
- When the compressor is cooled, it is of ten difficult to drain the oil after heating the compressor (104 - 122°F (40 - 50°C))
- Measure the amount of oil drain. If the oil volume is less than 70cc, the oil is slightly leaked. Conduct a leakage test of each system and repair or replace.
- After checking the oil for contamination, adjust the oil level in the following order.
Oil is clean
Amount of oil drain Adjust 70 cc more Oil level is normal, fill the drain with oil. 70 cc less Oil level is low, inject about 70 cc.
