Signal Circuit Inspection

  1. Connect all unit/module's connector.
  2. IG key "ON", Engine "OFF".
  3. Perform "Oscilloscope" procedure in the "Diagnosis" with GDS (image below).
  4. Measure the signal waveform between "C_CAN High" terminal of TPMS ("TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING MODULE") harness connector and chassis ground.
  5. Measure the signal waveform between "C CAN LOW" terminal of "TPMS" harness connector and chassis ground.

  6. Does the measured signal waveform follow the reference data?

    YES 

    • Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
    • Repair as necessary, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Check open/poor connection in the C_CAN "HIGH" line.
    • Check open/poor connection in the C_CAN "LOW" line.
    • Substitute with a known-good "TPMS" and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace "TPMS" and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
