Component Inspection

1. Replace alternator.
2. Turn off the ignition switch.
3. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
4. Clear DTC and Test-drive under enable conditions above-mentioned.
5. Check the "DTC".
6. Does the GDS show DTC "P0A1A"?

YES 

• Substitute with a known - good PCM/ECM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace PCM/ECM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

NO 

• Substitute with a known - good alternator and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace alternator and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
