DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical check
  1. Poor Connection
  2. Open or short to battery in signal harness
  3. Open in ground harness
  4. Faulty OTS
  5. ECM (PCM)
Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage is between 6V and 16V
  • Engine Coolant temperature (ECT) is greater than -9°C (15.8°F) or time after engine start is more than 300 seconds
Threshold value
  • Engine Oil Temperature (EOT) is lower than -39 (-38.2°F)
  • EOT sensor's signal represents open circuit or short circuit to battery
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuous
MIL On Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
