DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical check
  1. Poor Connection
  2. Short to ground in harness
  3. Faulty OTS
  4. ECM (PCM)
Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage is between 6V and 16V
  • Coolant temperature is lower than 120°C (248°F)
Threshold value
  • Engine Oil Temperature (EOT) is greater than 150°C (302°F)
  • EOT sensor's signal represents short to ground
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuous
MIL On Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
