Fuel Line Pressure Check
- Constant pressure type (including EQUUS, GENESIS 3.8 among variable type)
- Remove fuel pump relay. (If fuel pump relay is installed inside of the junction box, remove fuel pump relay fuse (20A))
- Start the engine, wait until engine stops.
- Install fuel pressure gage between the deliver pipe and fuel hose. (GDI, install between high pressure pump and fuel hose)
- Install fuel pump relay. (If fuel pump relay is installed inside of the junction box, install fuel pump relay fuse (20A))
- 1-Pressure gage
- 2-Connected to delivery pipe or high pressure pump
- 3-Fuel feeding line from fuel pump
- Check if fuel pressure is normal at idle after start the engine.
- Stop the engine and check if the pressure is maintained.
- Variable Pressure Control Type
- Connect VCI to DLC connector at in panel junction box.
- Run GDS, select model year and click Service Data button.
- Start the engine.
- Monitor parameters related to fuel pressure.
<Normal pressure at idle>
- Real low fuel pressure (Absolute) follows target low fuel pressure (Absolute) at idle.
- Real low fuel pressure is relative pressure so it is lower than absolute pressure.
