DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Main Action
  • Electrical check
  1. Poor Connection
  2. Open or short to battery in signal harness
  3. Open in ground harness
  4. Faulty OTS
  5. ECM
Prerequisite condition
  • Battery voltage is between 6V and 16V.
  • Engine Coolant temperature (ECT) is higher than -9°C (15.8°F) or time elapsed after engine starts is longer than 5 minutes.
Threshold Value
  • Engine Oil Temperature (EOT) is lower than -39 (-38.2°F).
  • EOT sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to battery power supply line.
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuously
MIL On Condition
  • 3 driving cycles
