DTC P1830-00: Clutch Thermal Overstress: General Description

Tire slips can take place at the front and rear tires depending on the road conditions or driving conditions. The 4WD ECU prevents damage by determining whether to run or stop the multilayered clutch based on the heat generated to the component by excessive slips. When the amount of the heat exceeds a permitted level, a warning lamp will be turned on and a DTC will be stored.
