Monitor DTC Status

Plug GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
Turn "ON" the ignition switch and start the engine.
Warm up the engine to the normal operating temperature.
Read the "DTC State" parameter.
Clear the DTC using the GDS and see if it returns when you run the vehicle under an average circumstance (running at 30 km/h for 20 min. or longer).
Did the same DTC return?
YES
- Replace the transfer case with an usable one and check for proper operation. If It works normally, replace the transfer case. Then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
- Repair relevant component(s) as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
  * After replacing the transfer case, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
NO
- Go to next procedure.
