DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Main Action
  • Voltage range check
  1. Open in ground circuit
  2. Short to battery in signal circuit
  3. Open in signal circuit
  4. Poor connection or damaged harness
  5. Faulty TPS2
Case 1 Prerequisite condition
  • Ignition switch is turned "ON".
Threshold Value
  • TPS2 output voltage is lower than 0.12V
  • Sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground.
Case 2 Prerequisite condition
  • Ignition switch is turned "ON".
  • Engine is running at idle.
  • Targeted throttle angle is lower than 58%.
  • TPS1 failure is detected.
Threshold Value
  • TPS2 output voltage at idle is lower than 2.0V
  • Sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground.
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuously
MIL On Condition
  • 2nd Driving Cycle
