ESP (ESC) OFF Switch Check

  1. Turn "Off" the ignition switch.
  2. Disconnect the ESP OFF switch connector.
  3. Measure resistance between power terminal and signal terminal of the ESP (ESC) OFF switch connector.

    Specification:  Approximately ∞ Ω

  4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?

    YES 

    • Fault can be intermittent caused by poor connection in ESP (ESC) OFF switch harness and/or ESP (ESC)'s connector. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Replace it with a new ESP OFF Switch and see if it properly operates. If the problem is cleared, put the new ESP OFF Switch in place and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
