GDS Data Analysis

  1. Parking a car flat on the ground. Step on the brake, shift the gear lever to "P" position and keep the engine "ON" condition.
  2. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  3. Select "Current Data" mode and monitor "Apply Switch". & "Release Switch" parameter.
  4. Pull and push EPB switch once, and then let it be in neutral position and check EPB switch status from sensor output (Fig.1)

    Specification:  When the switch is activated, the data changes to 'ON', 'OFF'.

  5. Is the result within specifications?

    YES 

    • Fault can be intermittent, caused by poor connection. Or, ESP (ESC) memory was not cleared after it was repaired. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Go to next procedure.
