DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Trouble Shooting Condition Possible Cause
Main Action
  • Monitor Pressure sensor offset
  1. External noise
  2. Faulty ESP (ESC)
Threshold Value
  • A failure is detected when the gradient of the sensor signal per 10 msec. is more than 15bar while any control is not activated.
  • ECU detects the failure under following conditions.
    • MCP is greater than 15bar.
    • Accelerator Pedal is greater than 5%.
    • BLS OFF is over 3 seconds.
  • A failure is detected when there is no change in MCP during three cycles of stopping after driving at over 40kph (24.9 mph).
  • A failure is detected when the MCP is remain above 10bar during three cycles of stopping after driving at over 40kph.

    * MCP: Master Cylinder Pressure

MIL
  • Inhibit the ESP (ESC)/DBC/AVH control and allow the ABS/EBD/EPB control.
  • The ESP (ESC)/DBC/AVH warning lamp is activated.
Reset condition
  • After turning the ignition switch off and back on again and pressing and releasing the brake pedal (more than 1 second).
