Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Check

  1. Lift the vehicle.
  2. Turn "On" the ignition switch.
  3. Rotate the wheel slowly with hand.
  4. Measure waveform between signal terminal of the wheel speed sensor (Front Right) harness connector and chassis ground with oscilloscope.

    Specification: 

    High: Approximately 1.8 ~ 16.8 mA, Low: Approximately 5.9 ~ 8.4 mA (the current could be varied with battery voltage)

  5. Is the result within specifications?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Replace it with a new wheel speed sensor and see if it properly operates. If the problem is cleared, put the new wheel speed sensor in place and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
