DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal Monitoring
  1. Incorrect calibration of steering angle sensor
  2. Improper installation of steering angle sensor
  3. Faulty steering angle sensor
Enable Conditions
  • During straight driving, if the steering wheel angle is larger than 55 degrees.
  • When the steering wheel angle is out of sensor specification.
  • When the difference between estimated angle and measured angle of the SAS sensor is lager than 50 degree/second, if the fault condition exists uninterrupted for 1.5 second.
  • In case that diagnostic signal fault of SAS was happened for more than 100 milliseconds within normal voltage condition.
  • When the steering wheel angle is under 3 degrees during left/right curve.
Fail Safe
  • Inhibit the ESP (ESC)/DBC/AVH control and allow the ABS/EBD control.
  • The ESP (ESC)/DBC/AVH warning lamp is activated.
