Repair Procedures: Inspection

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 Genesis G80. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Measure the output voltage between the terminal of the wheel speed sensor and the body ground.
    NOTE: To protect the wheel speed sensor when measuring the output voltage, a 100 Ω resister must be used as shown in illustration below.

  3. Compare the change of the output voltage of the wheel speed sensor to the normal change of the output voltage as shown in illustration below.

V_low:  0.59V ~ 0.84V

V_high:  1.18V ~ 1.68V

Frequency range:  1 ~ 2, 000Hz
