DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage range check
  1. Poor connection
  2. Open or short to battery in harness
  3. Open in ground harness
  4. IATS
  5. ECM (PCM)
Enable Conditions
  • Heat stored in intake manifold is greater than 0°C (32°F)
  • Minimum temperature (AAT and ECT) is greater than -30° C (-22°F)
  • Battery voltage is between 10V and 16V
Threshold value
  • Intake air temperature (IAT) sensor's voltage is greater than 4.935V
  • IAT sensor's voltage represents open or short to battery
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuous
MIL On Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
