Monitor GDS Data

  1. IG "ON".
  2. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector. (DLC)
  3. Turn the steering wheel to the left and right.
  4. Monitor the "Steering Angle Sensor (CAN) (ESP Only)" parameter on the "Current Data"  menu of the GDS.

  5. When steering wheel is turned, is the parameter changed?

    YES 

    1. Set the steering wheel so that the wheels point straight ahead.
    2. Keep the steering wheel in center position.
    3. Monitor the "Steering Angle Sensor (CAN) (ESP Only)" parameter on the "Current Data" menu of the GDS.

      Specification  :Approx. 0 DEG

    4. Is parameter displayed within specification?

    YES 

    NO 

    • This DTC may be caused by an incorrect calibration of the steering angle sensor. Perform the calibration of the sensor in "

    Vehicle S/W Management"  menu on GDS again.

    NO
