Removal Procedure

Open the pickup box auxiliary endgate step.

Pickup Box Auxiliary Endgate Hinge Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [4x]
Pickup Box Auxiliary Endgate Step (2) - Reposition

Pickup Box Endgate Inner Panel Access Hole Plug (1) - Remove [4x]

Use a trim type release tool, disengage the locking tabs of the pickup box endgate molding (1).
Pickup Box Endgate Molding (1) - Remove
Clean any remaining residue with a 50/50 mixture by volume of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water. Wipe surface dry with a clean lint-free towel.

Rear Closure Center Applique Bolt (2) - Remove [6x]
Rear Closure Fixed Handle Applique (1) - Remove

Using the appropriate trim tool, remove the left side pickup box endgate access hole cover panel (2) to gain access to the wiring harness.
Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect

Rear Closure Signal Lamp Nut (1) - Remove [4x]
High Mount Stop Lamp (2) - Remove

Note the position of the 2 wires (1) in the connector prior to removal.
