Circuit/System Verification

  1. Verify no other DTCs related to the B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield or B233B Forward Range Radar Sensor - Long Range are set.
    • Go to next step: If no other DTCs are set 
  2. Verify the area in front of the B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield and B233B Forward Range Radar Sensor - Long Range is clean, unobstructed, and damage-free.
    • If not clean, unobstructed, and damage-free 

      Clear or repair as necessary.

    • Go to next step: If clean, unobstructed, and damage-free 
  3. Verify the B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield and B233B Forward Range Radar Sensor - Long Range is properly mounted and secured with no damage.
    • If not properly mounted and secured or damage is present 

      Repair or replace components as necessary.

    • Go to next step: If properly mounted and secured and no damage is present 
  4. Ignition ON.
  5. Clear DTCs.
  6. Drive the vehicle for 3 - 5 minutes at speeds greater than 9 km/h (6 mph) in normal traffic conditions.
  7. Verify the DTC B1B43 does not set.
    • If DTC B1B43 is set 
    1. Replace the B233B Forward Range Radar Sensor - Long Range.
    2. Clear DTCs and operate the vehicle.
    3. Verify the DTC does not reset.
      • If the DTC resets, replace the B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield.
      • Go to next step: If the DTC does not reset

        Go to next step: All OK.

    • Go to next step: If DTC B1B43 is not set 
  8. All OK. A fault is currently not present and may be an intermittent condition.
