Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

    Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

    WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .

  1. Relieve the system fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  2. Remove the fuel pump cover. Refer to Fuel Pump Cover Replacement .
    3. Fig 1: Fuel Feed Pipe

  3. Disconnect the fuel feed pipe (1) from the fuel feed pipe at engine. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  5. Disconnect the fuel feed pipe (1) and remove from retainers (2). Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  6. Remove the fuel feed pipe (1) from the vehicle.
