Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection 
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  3. Remove Front Wheelhouse Liner. Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (without ZR2)Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (with ZR2)
  4. Remove Oil Level Indicator Tube. Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement

  5. Remove Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (1)
  6. Remove Starter Solenoid Cable (2)
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector.(3)

  8. Remove Fuel Pump Fuel Feed Pipe Bracket Bolt (2)
  9. Reposition away Fuel Pump Fuel Feed Pipe Bracket (1)

    NOTE:

    The heater hoses will need to be carefully pushed upwards to allow the starter room to be moved.

  10. Remove Starter Mounting Bolt (1)
    11. NOTE:

    Remove the starter through the wheelhouse.

  11. Remove Starter (2)
