Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection 
  2. Remove Charge Air Cooler Outlet Duct Charge Air Cooler Outlet Duct Replacement

  3. Slide the engine wiring harness junction block cover release tab (1), in the direction shown.
  4. Remove Engine Wiring Harness Junction Block Cover (2)
  5. Remove Battery Positive Cable Nut (3)
  6. Remove Battery Positive Cable (4)

  7. Remove the positive battery cable protective cap from the generator terminal. (1)
  8. Remove Battery Positive Cable Nut (3)
  9. Remove Battery Positive Cable (2)

    NOTE:

    Note the routing of the battery positive cable within the engine compartment.

  10. Disconnect Battery Positive Cable Retainer (1)
  11. Remove the battery positive cable from the vehicle.(2)
