Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

  2. Open the fuse block cover. (1)
  3. Remove Battery Negative Cable Fastener (2)
  4. Remove Battery Negative Cable (3)

  5. Remove Battery Negative Cable Ground Fastener (2)
  6. Remove Battery Negative Cable (1)

  7. Disconnect Remove Electrical Connector (1) @Battery Current Sensor (2)
  8. Detach the battery current sensor from the battery tray.
  9. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  10. Remove Underbody Splash Shield.Underbody Splash Shield Replacement (without ZR2)Underbody Splash Shield Replacement (with ZR2)

  11. Disconnect the electronic power steering (EPS) connector (2), from the battery negative cable connector, attached to the front frame crossmember.

  12. Remove Battery Negative Cable Frame Ground Fastener (2)
  13. Remove Battery Negative Cable (1)

  14. Remove Engine Ground Cable Stud (1)
  15. Remove Battery Negative Cable (2)
  16. Lower the vehicle.

    NOTE:

    Note the routing of the battery negative cable within the engine compartment.

  17. Carefully remove the battery sensor along with the battery negative cable from the vehicle.(1)
