Installation Procedure

  1. Connect Electrical Connector (1) @Power Steering Assist Motor (2)
  2. Engage Retainer (4)

  4. Install Battery Negative Cable (1)
  5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  6. Install Battery Negative Cable Ground Stud (2) and tighten 40 N.m (30 lb ft)
  7. Engage Engine Harness Retainers (3)

  9. Install Battery Positive Cable (3)
  10. Install Generator Nut (2) and tighten 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
  11. Install Protective Cap (1)

  13. Install Battery Positive Cable (1)
  14. Install Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (2) and tighten 13 N.m (115 lb in)

  16. Engage Battery Positive Cable Retainer (4)

  18. Install Battery Positive Cable (5)
  19. Install Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) and tighten 12 N.m (106 lb in)
  20. Install Battery Positive Cable Nut (3) and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  21. Install Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Cover (2)
  22. Engage Battery Positive Cable Retainer (4)
  23. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Without KL9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With KL9)
