Installation Procedure

  1. Install Steering Gear (2)
  2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    CAUTION:

    This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.

  3. Install Steering Gear Bolt (1) and tighten 110 N.m (81 lb ft)

    Install NEW bolts.

  4. Completely install the drivetrain and front suspension frame. Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement

  6. Install Power Steering Fluid Cooling Pipe (1) @Steering Gear Power Steering Fluid Cooling Pipe Replacement

  19. Install the front tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  20. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Power Steering System Bleeding

  23. Measure and adjust the front toe. Wheel Alignment - Steering Wheel Angle and/or Front Toe Adjustment
