Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front side door trim. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Replacement .
  2. Remove the front side door water deflector.
    3. NOTE:

    Disconnect the window from the window regulator, place the window in the full up position, use masking tape to tape the window to the upper door frame.

  3. Position the front side door window regulator rear rail to access and remove the door latch and handle bracket assembly. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Driver Side)Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Passenger Side) .
  4. Remove the front side door window channel retainer. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement .
  5. Remove the front side door outside handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  6. Remove the front side door outside handle bracket screw. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Bracket Replacement .
  7. Remove the front side door locking rod knob. Refer to Front Side Door Locking Rod Knob Replacement .
  8. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  9. Remove the four fasteners (1) from the front side door latch.

  10. Remove the outside handle bracket (1) and the front side door latch (2) as assembly from the vehicle.
