Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air inlet screen. Refer to Air Inlet Screen Replacement (Equinox) or Air Inlet Screen Replacement (Terrain)
  2. Fig 1: Upper Strut Mount Bolts

  3. Remove the 3 upper strut mount bolts.
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  5. Remove the wheel and tire assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  6. Remove the brake hose bracket from the front strut. Refer to Front Brake Hose Replacement .
  7. Remove the stabilizer link from the front strut. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement .

  9. Remove the lower strut bolts and nuts.
  10. Remove the strut assembly from the vehicle.
