Container Expiration Label Replacement

If the CNG fuel tank is replaced, record the tank serial number and expiration date in the owner manual supplement and on the job card. The Container Expiration label on the fuel door and under hood also needs to be replaced as follows:

    NOTE:

    Replacement CNG Tank Inspection Information Label GM P/N 22965007 contains both a "Next Container Inspection" label, and a "Container Expiration" label.

  1. Clean and dry the preexisting container expiration label inside the fuel door, and under hood.
  2. Overlay the preexisting Container Expiration labels with the black portion of a replacement CNG tank inspection Information label GM P/N 22965007.
  3. Using a paper punch with a maximum size hole of 6.35mm (1/4 in.), punch out the appropriate month and year on the container expiration label from P/N 22965007, and install over the black portion of the label.
