Removal Procedure

WARNING: Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Pipe Warning .
WARNING: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning .
CAUTION: Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Hose/Pipe Connection Cleaning Caution .

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief (CH 48027)  or Fuel Pressure Relief (Without CH-48027) .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Disconnect the chassis fuel feed line quick connect fitting (2) from the engine line. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  4. Disconnect the chassis fuel feed line quick connect fitting from the fuel tank line. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  5. Disengage the fuel feed line from the clips (1).
  6. Remove the chassis fuel feed line (2) from the vehicle.
