Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2009 GMC Yukon XL, 2009 GMC Yukon, 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2009 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2009 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at each of the object sensors.
  2. Ignition ON, verify DTC B1E3A is not set as current.
    • If the DTC is set, test the 8-volt reference circuit terminal 1 for a short to voltage, short to ground, or an open/high resistance. If circuit tests normal, replace the object alarm module.
  3. Install each sensor harness connector one at a time, checking DTCs after each sensor is connected. Verify DTC B1E3A is not set as current.
    • If the DTC is set, replace the object sensor that was connected immediately before the DTC set.
